KARACHI: Karachi Police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon on Wednesday directed the citizens not to visit graveyards tonight on the eve of ‘Shab-e-Barat’.

He said that the about 200 police checkposts had been set up in the city to implement lockdown.

The Karachi police chief requested the masses not to pray in congregations in mosques.

Muslims are used to visit graveyards on the eve of Shab-e-Barat and offer pray for the departed souls.
