KARACHI: The city police in three zones detained 77 suspected under section 54 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (Cr.P.C.) during the past 24 hours.
A police statement here on Monday said that these detentions pertained to Karachi’s East, West and South zones. It said in a report that in snap checking in these zones during the past 24 hours, 1,682 vehicles were checked.
Of these, 810 vehicles were found with tinted glasses, fancy, sub-standard and without number plates. The police impounded 118 suspected vehicles, the statement further pointed out. —APP
