KARACHI: Over 180 dengue cases has been reported over the last 20 days in the metropolis, an official said here on Monday.
The deadly disease has claimed at least six lives so far this year, said Dr Mohammad Iqbal, manager at the Prevention and Control Programme for Dengue, Sindh.
New dengue cases are on the rise in the city following the recent heavy monsoon rains.
Dr Iqbal said that his department had launched fumigation in high-risk neighbourhoods to control further spread of the disease.
