Karachi Kings on Tuesday named Imad Wasim as captain for Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) third edition scheduled to be played in the UAE next year.
Imad Wasim, who is currently ranked number 2 in ICC T20I bowlers ranking, is the regular part of Pakistan team.

He was also the member of Sarfraz XI who lifted the ICC Champions Trophy in June.
The owner of the franchise Salman Iqbal made the announcement during a ceremony in which franchise president Shahid Afridi, pacer Mohammad Amir, batsman Babar Azam were present.

Former captain of Pakistan, Shahid Afridi called Imad Wasim a mature cricketer and stated that he will be the right choice to lead the time.
Imad Wasim has previously captained Pakistan U-19 as well.
The franchise was earlier captained by Shoaib Malik and Ravi Bopara during the first edition of the league. Kumar Sangakkara led the side in the second edition of PSL.
