Karachi: Foreign involvement found in terrorism: DG Rangers Sindh

KARACHI: DG Rangers Sindh Maj Gen. Bilal Akbar has said that he has submitted evidences of foreign involvement in terrorism in Karachi  to Interior Ministry.

The DG Rangers Sindh was briefing Senate’s functional committee on human rights, he informed the committee that there are two types of terrorism in Karachi. One group is involved in killing of policemen while other group is killing professionals and scholars, he informed.

He said that legislation is the duty of the government while the Para-military force could implement the legislation. The DG rangers also expressed determination of controlling terrorism in Karachi

Gen Bilal Akbar briefed that law enforcement agencies are conducting successful intelligence based operations in Karachi.

IG Sindh also briefed the committee and said that law and order situation of the province has been improved with joint efforts of police and rangers.
