KARACHI: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered to send samples of all the packaged milk brands available in the Karachi market to the Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) for their tests.

He also directed to take immediate action to seize vaccination being injected to cows and buffaloes to increase milk production from the market in Karachi. He added that a report be submitted to him at his residence by 11pm tonight.

Hearing a case relating to tempered milk here at the Karachi registry, the CJ appointed Advocate Faisal Siddiqui to supervise the laboratory tests.

He directed the Advocate General of Sindh to send samples of milk products to laboratories for their tests.

He remarked that the packaged milk was not milk but a fraud.

The CJ ordered to remove all brands of packaged milk from the Karachi market. He observed that millions of rupees had been spent to get the laboratories fixed in Punjab.

“There is no food authority in Sindh, what the provincial government is doing?” he questioned.
