‘Karachi can’t tolerate rigged elections any more’

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the Karachi has already been almost ruined and it cannot sustain rigged elections any more.

He expressed these views on Thursday while inaugurating a water filtration plant at union council 22 of the north Nazimabad Town.

He said that the JI is not only contesting with its political rivals but flawed voter lists and politicized polling staffers are also among its opponents. He vowed to sweep the local government elections with the massive support and turnout of the people.

The JI leader said that the conspiracies to get the elections postpone have been foiled with the unity among the masses with the support of the security institutions. He urged masses to come and vote for the coalition of JI and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He further said that the enemies of the city and its peace are annoyed and frustrated with the coalition of the JI and PTI.

He further said that the JI’s past is evident that the party takes service of people as worship. He added that JI served people with all its capabilities and resources, despite being away from the corridors of powers.

He added that the JI’s welfare wing has been serving masses and is trying its level best to mitigate the miseries of marginalized segments of the society without any discrimination. He vowed that the party would continue to serve masses.
