KARACHI: After recent rains, Karachi saw the coldest night of the year on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
The lowest temperature in the city was recorded at 9.7 degrees Celsius, says the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). It added that it is a rare occurrence in port city.

Currently, Karachi is under the influence of north eastern winds, which are blowing at a speed of seven kilometres an hour. The humidity level in the city’s atmosphere is 87 per cent.
