KARACHI: K-Electric on Saturday wrote a letter to National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) recommending a decrease in electricity tariff in Karachi.
According to details, the letter officially recommends a reduction of 0.39 rupees per unit. The reduction, if approved will be applicable only on the power bills of March.
NEPRA sources revealed that the country’s power supplier saw a decrease of about 500 million in the month of March and the administration sold electricity worth 1 billion rupees.
NEPRA has accepted the application for hearing, the session will be held in Karachi.
