ISLAMABAD: K-Electric has submitted an application to the National Electric Power Regulator Authority (Nepra) seeking an hike of Rs3.45 per unit.
The power regulatory authority said that the sole power distribution company in Karachi has sought the increase on account of monthly fuel adjustment for September.
Nepra has fixed the K-Electric’s application for hearing for Nov 3.
Sources said that the consumers will bear additional burden of Rs6.64 billion in case of approval of K-Electric’s request by Nepra.
