ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Justice (Retd) Wajihuddin Ahmed has resigned from the basic membership of the party.
According to Justice Wajih, he sent his resignation from the basic membership of the party to PTI chairman Imran Khan.

He said he realized that now onward he could not work anymore with PTI so he resigned from the PTI’s basic membership.

He said that he sent his resignation to the party chief without assigning any reasons for it.

It is to be mentioned here that Justice Wajih was head of PTI’s Election Tribunal for intra-party elections and had ordered dissolution of PTI organisational setup for widespread rigging and irregularities in the intra-party elections.

He had also terminated the basic membership of PTI Secretary General Jahangir Tarin, KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and Aleem Khan on the charges of rigging and impeding the implementation on ET’s decisions. However, the PTI chief instead of implementing the tribunal’s decisions dissolved the tribunal and removed Wajih and others.”
