KARACHI: Sindh government has formed Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to open thorough investigation into death of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) leader Tariq Mehboob under police custody.
Sindh government fulfilled promises of SIC leadership by issuing notification to form JIT to probe death of Tariq Mehboob who died in jail reportedly due to heart attack two days ago.
The committee would investigate death reasons of the leader conducting post mortem under supervision of Deputy Inspector General (DIG) East Muneer Shaikh while Rangers’ representative will also be included in the team.
Following the development, funeral prayer has been offered for the deceased SIC leader..
