MIANWALI: Under the programme of rehabilitation of Barrages in Punjab, reconstruction and rehabilitation of Jinnah Barrage over Sindh River in Mianwali has been completed.
According to official sources, Jinnah Barrage has been rehabilitated at a cost of over twelve billion rupees and water discharge capacity from the barrage has also been enhanced from eight hundred thousand cusses to nine hundred thousand cusecs.
Under the project, a bridge has also been rehabilitated which connects Kalabagh with Mianwali beside construction of a park at a cost of over four hundred million rupees.
Sources said a primary school and basic health unit have also been completed for community in the area.
