JI warns of laying siege to punjab assembly

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has warned of laying siege to the Punjab Assembly if demands of farmers were not met within 48 hours.

The JI chief also demanded immediate release of arrested farmers.

Sirajul Haq made these remarks while speaking to the media after the JI Kissan sit-in.

During the current government, farmers became disturbed. Canal water was not available to farmers. Electricity bills of tube wells were inflated.

He said that the fertilizer shortage scandal should be investigated immediately.
