He noted that the JI campaign against corruption was launched long before the Panama leaks and the JI so far had held dozens of public meetings, besides a train march and its drive was underway with full force. He said some other parties had also decided to start their protest against corruption during the current month and said they had the right to take decisions independently.

Sirajul Haq said that August was the month of Pakistan’s independence and a time to celebrate. However, he said, that the nation would have to start another movement in order to get rid of the corrupt ruling clique.

He said that the corrupt elements during the three previous governments had plundered the national wealth with both hands and transferred it abroad. He said the JI would go to any extent for the recovery of the looted wealth. Referring to the Kashmir issue, Sirajul Haq said that the non serious and ambiguous attitude of the government on the Kashmir issue was astonishing. He said that Indian occupation forces had killed lakhs of innocent Kashmiris and thousands of Kashmiri young men were in detention camps living in miserable conditions. The occupation troops were even torturing Kashmiri women with batons and pulling them on roads and such scenes on the social media were heartrending to say the least. He said it was only due to the cowardly silence of Islamabad that the occupation army was perpetrating such atrocities on the Kashmiris.

Ameer JI said that immediately after the martyrdom of Muzaffar Wani, the government should have convened an international conference and apprised the world community of India’s state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir but unfortunately, there was silence of the graveyard in the Foreign Office.
