KARACHI: To expedite the election campaign for local government (LG) polls 2015, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi has scheduled a ‘workers convention for LG polls’ to deliver the devised policy for the upcoming elections.
The JI Amir Senator Siraj-ul-Haq would address the workers and deliver a keynote speech. JI Karachi Secretary General Abdul Wahab has directed the party workers to participate in the convention on time. The convention would be held at New MA Jinnah Road, near JI Karachi Headquarters on Sunday, October 18, 2015.
Earlier, the JI Karachi chief Naeem-ur-Rehman had announced that seat adjustment with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was largely agreed upon. The JI Karachi chief had also expressed his hope that that the next Karachi mayor would be from the party.
