LAHORE: Acting Ameer of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Liaqat Baloch, said that the JI had persistently struggled for the unity of the Ummah, the establishment of the Islamic order, service to the humanity, for the supremacy of the constitution and the judiciary.

He was addressing different programmes in connection with the 75th foundation day of the JIP, at Kotri, Hyderabad, on Tuesday.

Liaqat Baloch said that the JI had always fought against the privileged sections of the society, feudal lords, civil and military dictators and offered huge sacrifices for the freedom of thought and for upholding the Islamic ideology in the country.

He said that Allah Almighty had blessed this country with unlimited natural resources including abundant manpower. However, corruption, incompetence and the hold of a tiny elite class over national politics and administration had made life a hell for the masses. Lack of facilities of education, health, lawlessness and bad governance were the major problems facing the countrymen. He said the JI alone would pull the country out of the prevailing crises with the help of its honest and competent leadership. .

The JI acting chief made it clear to the rulers in Islamabad that India would never solve the problems of the region if Islamabad had a weak stance. Therefore, it was time to highlight India’s unlawful occupation on Kashmir and her continued oppression on the Kashmiris as also the unprovoked aggression at the borders. The world at large should be shown the real face of India dreaming of UN Security Council membership, he added. The Prime Minister should unite the entire nation and political leadership on national priorities, he added.
