KARACHI: Jamat-e-Islami Karachi chief Engr.Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has vowed to continue the struggle for a positive and fundamental change in the society.
Addressing a leadership convention convention in Karachi,he said that the JI believes in bringing peaceful Islamic revolution through the democratic means.
Talking about the recent local government elections,he said that 80 percent eligible voters expressed their destruct on the system while keeping themselves away from the electoral process.
The JI leader also said that the party workers have to defeat the rigging mafia, who captures and takes hostage the entire electoral process as well as the election commission. He urged JI activists to reorganize themselves and engage themselves into a renewed enthusiastic campaign.
He asked them to explore new ways of spreading their message and get masses mobilize and urge them for using their right to cast a vote so as to bring a durable change in the society.
Engr. Naeem was of the view that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has to get rid of its militant and criminal wings, if the party wants to prevail in the society. He also went to say that the MQM has to accept the mandate, reality and presence of its political rivals in the society.
He made it clear that the JI has been struggling for bringing the blessings of Islamic system into the society and contesting elections is a part of strategy in this regard as the sole purpose of JI is to bring an Islamic revolution in the society.
JI Karachi deputy chief Dr. Usama Razi, Bin Qasim district chief Muhammad Islam, Syed Iqbal Saeed, Molana Fazal Shamzai and others also expressed their views on the occasion.
