JI slaughters 500 animals for IDPs, migrants

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that Khidmat Welfare Society, the welfare wing of the JI, held ‘Ijtamai qurbani’ of more than 10,000 animals at 350 spots across the city during the auspicious occasion of Eidul- Azha.

Besides this, the some 500 animals were sacrificed at a slaughter house at Korangi area. The meat of these sacrificial animals, totally donated for the welfare purposes, have been freeze and would be provided to the Internally Displaced People (IDPs), as well as migrants across the border.

Talking about the Rangers’ code of conduct and its implementation, the JI Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman praised the overall action and said that those elements who used to snatch and collect hides forcefully were utterly disappointed due to strict monitoring measures.

He further said that after a long span of time, citizens took a sigh of relief on this Eid and the Rangers personnel played a duly commendable role in this regard.

During the Eid days, the JI Karachi Amir visited several spots where Ijtami Qurbani was performed.

He interacted with the volunteers of the Al-Khidmat and praised their zeal and sacrifice of time for the needy segments of the society.
