JI sees bias in recent actions of NAB

We are in favor of accountability, but it should be impartial, said Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Senator Sirajul Haq addressing a press conference at Idara-e-Noor Haq here Sunday.  He said that accountability of political and non-political figures should be based on justice and not on personal or political vendetta.

He said a recent action of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seems impartial and based on “political revenge”. He demanded action against all people whose names are included in the Panama Leaks. Criticizing the government, Haq said that the government has increased prices of gas and CNG within its 100-days, which will directly affect common man.

He said the claims of the government to bring a “change” are only on paper, and no practical step is yet taken in this regard. He said that the missing persons’ cases also continue in ‘Naya Pakistan’ as a social worker Ijaz Ullah has gone missing which is a sheer violation of human rights.

To a query; he said that the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) is not taking part in bye-polls in Karachi.
