KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Secretary General Liaquat Balouch has said that violations of the Constitution have ended up the country in real mess and crises at several times.
He was addressing Ijtima-e-Arakan (meeting of party’s executive associates), held at JI, Karachi headquarters. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the 1973 Constitution had been ambushed by personality dogma and army dictatorial rule in past.
The JI leader said that the nefarious conspiracies are continued to be hatched against the constitution. The Islamic and those claws of the Constitution deal with the ideological identity of the state are being targeted, he added and stressed the need to renew the resolve of the nation for the protection of the Constitution, particularly in connection with the constitution day.
Balouch said that it should remain clear to all that as per the Constitution, Resolution of Purpose has been a part of it and no legislation can be made against the teaching of Quran and Sunna as Islam is the only religion of the state while Allah Almighty is the only sovereignty power in the state.
He continued that some foreign powers are willing to change the ideological and Islamci identity of Pakistan as it creates hurdles in fulfillment of their global agenda of dominance. He said that such forces are pressurizing the government to amend the Constitution of the state as per their desires and dictation. He regretted the a bunch of anti-religion elements with in the state are pursuing the foreign agenda.
Talking about the Mumtaz Qadri issue, he said that the hanging of Qadri was not an isolated happening but is a reflection of a particular mindset that is following the foreign dictated line.
He further said that the corrupt ruling regime has no other option but to obey their foreign masters so as to continue their rule and safeguard their monitory interests. He urged masses to get united and not let the rulers to change the ideological identity of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
