LAHORE: The Jamaat e Islami has started the preparation of its manifesto for the 2018 general elections, JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, said here on Friday. He was addressing the members of the central election committee of the party at Mansoora.
Liaqat Baloch said the JI believed in change of the system and leadership through religious motivation, democratic struggle and public support. He said the manifesto reflected the vision of a party.
He said that unfortunately, the parties coming into power through vote had not honoured their commitments made in their election manifesto due to which the democratic system and the parliament had always been facing crises.
Liaqat Bloch said that the JI was the only party that could come up to the expectations of the people.
He said that corruption was the biggest problem of the country and if corrupt people returned to power again, the plight of the masses could not change and accountability of the corrupt would remain a dream.
