LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq, JI Secretary General Liaqat Bloch and JI deputy chief Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, have expressed deep grief over the train accident at Karachi causing heavy loss of life.
In a statement here, they said that the signaling system of the railway was outdated and one and a half century old which needed to be replaced by the modern computerized system.
They said that open international tenders for a modern computerized signaling system should be immediately invited and the installing company should be bound to run the system for three years and also train the concerned staff.
The JI leaders prayed for those killed in the collision and for the quick recovery of the injured. They also expressed condolences with the bereaved families.
