JI Karachi to conduct ‘open house discussion’ on Nov 4

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi will conduct a ‘open house discussion’ regarding complains against K-Electric on November 4 at Karachi Press club.

According to details, Engineer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman will address the open house discussion on Friday, November 4. JI Deputy Secretary Karachi, Advocate Saifuddin, President K-Electric complaint cell Imran Shahid has invited the people to attend the ‘open house discussion’.

The JI leader will alleged the KE of plundering national exchequer and extorting its customers.

According to the statement, the third time sale of KE to Shanghai Electric is tantamount to torture on people of Karachi as the Shanghai Electric is already under allegations of 360 million dollars as well as National electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to get sale of K-electric stayed and compel the entity to pay dues of billions of rupees to its customers and national institutions.

Earlier, JI already has filed a plea in Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan and stated that it will not leave the people of Karachi to face the problems alone.
