KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi on Tuesday took out Pakistan Zindabad rally to pay tribute to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
A large number of people from all walks of life, participated in the rally. The was commenced with playing national anthem. The was organized to denounced the anti-state attitude, being showed by Muttahida Qaumi Movement a day earlier. Participants were carrying Pakistani flags to express the spirit of patriotism.
JI Pakistan Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has said that the criminal elements, committing treason are being exposed in Karachi. He expressed his hope that the city would once again become centre of Pakistan’s development and success.
He said that those chanting slogans against Pakistan would be eliminated, while the holy motherland of Islamic Republic of Pakistan would remain on this earth forever.
The JI SG condemned attacks on media outlets by the MQM and said that the entire country is standing shoulder to shoulder for the freedom of the media.
He said that only an overnight detention has changed the mind of entire MQM leadership. He further said that the party had been taking entire city hostage for last three decades, however their days are numbered.
Liaqat Baloch went on to say that the agents of raw should be exposed and anti-state elements should be eliminated.
He asked the military leadership as well as paramilitary troops of Rangers to take solid steps so as to ensure durable peace in the city. He asked them to ensure the writ of law and the supremacy of law.
He said that a large number of personnel of LEAs and our forces have rendered sacrifices and these sacrifices should not be go to vein, he added.
The JI leader said that the ‘political laundries ‘ being created in Karachi are against the interest of the city as well as the country. Such laundries create confusions among masses, he said.
Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman, JI Karachi chief, said in his speech that the series of events unfolded on Monday would be remembered as a black day in the history of the country.
He made it clear that no good or bad terrorists would be tolerated in Karachi. The JI leader said that the need of the hour is to employ zero tolerance policy for torture in Karachi and it cannot be gained while differentiating good of bad MQM.
Engr. Naeem was of the view that no Pakistan Sarzameen Party or minus Altaf MQM is answer to the miseries of Pakistan. The only way forward is to give space to the real representatives of the city.
He said that it was not the first time when MQM stalwart was calling names to Pakistan, he had abused the motherland on various occasions. He strictly criticized the MQM chief for committing what is largely being termed as sedition.
The JI leader was of the view that Mr. Altaf Hussain had made mockery of sacrifices, rendered by tens of Thousands of Muslims of the then Hindustan. He said that Pakistan was not created to allow a useless individual , who is also a foreign citizen, to draw jibe against the holy motherland.
He said that unfortunately, those elements who wanted to divide the country, created figures like Mr. Altaf Hussain. He said that MQM had purposely been imposed on Karachi in the name of so-called mandate, which was acquired on the basis of bullet, instead of ballet.
JI leader Younus Barai also addressed the rally.
