KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said that the rulers have named politics as something tantamount to deception and fraud, while to the JI it was a sacred obligation.
Addressing a conference on the life of Holy Prophet (SAW) in Karachi, he said that the need of the hour is to bring politics, economy, judiciary, government, media and all other walks of life under the guidance of Islam.
He expressed his disappointment over the controversial statement of governmental lawyer in the top court, where the later had termed the prime minister’s address as political statements.
He added that the JI follows the politics of Madina where rulers were indeed servants of their nation, where each and every individual was dealt with respect.
The JI chief made it clear that acquiring power or top slots are not the primary purpose of his party. Instead, he said, supremacy of Islam is our basic goal.
He said that they would be supporting the rulers, if they run the government as per the teachings of Islam. He further said that however those who challenge the supremacy of Allah and the Holy Prophet (SAW) would not be followed but confronted.
Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) President Sahabzada Abulkhair Muhammad Zubair in his address regretted over the decisions taken by the federal and the provincial government of Sindh.
He said that unfortunately the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan submits appeal in the favor of interest based system and argues to make Pakistan secular and liberal.
He added that it was a matter of grave concern that the Sindh government favors liquor and legislate against acceptance of Islam before the age of 18. He said that those who call themselves devotees of Hazrat Ali should know that he accepted Islam when he was eight years old.
JI Karachi chief Engr. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, in his address said that despite a colossal downward spiral, the Umma witnesses various movements due the relations of Muslims with Quran e Pak.
JI leader Munem Zafar and Mufti Zubair of Jamia Suffa also addressed the conference.
