KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Amir Engr. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded of the government to bring the culprits of Gulistan-e-Johar tragedy to full justice.
In a statement on Wednesday, the JI Karachi chief said that crystal clear investigations should be carried out against those influential figures, being nominated in the China cutting that resulted in the calamity.
He said that the names of those plundering the national exchequer in the name of China cutting should be disclosed and strict action be taken against them without discrimination of their political affiliation.
Engr. Naeem further demanded to take across the board action against corrupt ministers, political figures and governmental officials who are involve in land grabbing and are responsible for the tragedy that claimed several innocent lives.
He also demanded to take solid measures to avoid such heart wrenching occurrences.
The JI leader expressed solidarity with the bereave families and offered his condolences to the heirs of deceased.
