JI demands indiscriminate accountability

LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch on Wednesday demanded indiscriminate accountability and lauded oppositions’ decision to play an effective role in the parliament.

He said legislation for more powers to the judicial commission on Panama papers essential for elimination of corruption in the country.

Liaqat Baloch said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should have addressed the National Assembly after the speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He condemned the bill passed by US Senate to enable 9/11 effectees to sue Saudi Arabia and termed it biased. The JI leader said US continuously hatching conspiracies against Saudi Arabia. He said America was liable for riot in the Muslim world. He said time had come for Muslim world to resolve their internal conflicts by itself. Baloch said the Muslims could get rid of all problems, if Pakistan, Turkey, Iran and Saudi Arabia will come on same page.
