JI demands govt to resolve teachers issues

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that the JI leadership supports the government teachers, deprived of their due salaries for three long years.

He was talking to a delegation of the affected teachers at his office here on Wednesday.

The JI leader was of the view that the affected teachers are victims of the the corruption and mismanagement within the Pakistan Peoples Party led Sindh government.

He demanded of the Chief Minister Sindh and the Sindh Education Minister to resolve their issue on priority basis. He assured the delegation that the JI would join them shoulder to shoulder and would be agitating for them, if needed.

He lambasted the consecutive coalition governments in the province and held them responsible for miseries of the affected teachers and their miseries.

Engr. Naeem raised the question that what was the logic of depriving the teachers of their due salaries when the Sindh government had appointed them after due process and the affected people were engaged in services at schools?

Earlier the teachers’ delegation appraised the JI leader about the lost lasting issue and its implications and effects on the affected families.
