JI demands army deployment in Karachi LG polls

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan supreme leader Senator Siraj-ul-Haq on Wednesday demand of the government to deploy army inside and outside all the polling stations during Local Body Elections in Karachi.

While addressing a press conference, he said that they wanted election not selection in the LB polls. He urged the masses to cast their votes to change their fate.

The JI leader announced to hold a mass rally in the metropolis Karachi on November 28. He expressed his reservations about the LB polls and said that corrupt elements were hiding the frauds of each other. Sirajul Haq said that they would invite PTI Chairman Imran Khan to participate in the Karachi rally.

JI supreme leader Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has said that the Karachi deserves peace, prosperity, civic facilities and continue development process.

“We want Karachi to develop and prosper because Pakistan cannot progress without Karachi. We want to spread peace and harmony, instead of ongoing anarchy, in the metropolis,” he said.

He stressed the need to change the ongoing status-co so as to form a unilateral system in the country. He said that the city of Karachi have been divided into two classes. A few are enjoying all privileges and the rest of tens of thousands of people masses are left on the mercy of extortionists, just to be subjected of all types of austerities.

He vowed to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state where the rights of all segments of the society, particularly minorities would be protected. He urged the people to cast their vote to change their fate.
