JI condemns Syrian bloodshed

LAHORE: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has expressed deep grief over the continuous shelling by Syrian army over the city of Halab resulting in the martyrdom of hundreds of innocent citizens and has appealed to the world community to break is criminal silence over that.

In a statement here on Tuesday, he condemned the double standards of the United Nations and demanded immediate action against those responsible for the human rights violations in Syria.

The JI chief also appealed to the Muslim rulers to abandon their policies based on personal likings and disliking and evolve their strategies keeping in view the dictates of justice and their being answerable before Allah. He said that there was no room for people like Basharl Asad and Gen. Sisi in the present day world.

Sirajul Haq said that the Syrian army under the orders of Basharul Asad, had put to death around two hundred people within one day and turned Halb city into a graveyard. He said that Basharal Asad family had been perpetrating cruelties over the Syrian people for the last half century and as the Syrian people raised a voice against him, the whole country was turned into a graveyard and lakhs of people were massacred.

The JI chief said that some world and regional powers wanted to keep Bashar in power to prolong war in Syria and the Middle East.
