KARACHI: Jamaat-e- Islami (JI) Karachi Ameer Hafiz Naeem- ur-Rehman has said that JI always condemn extra judicial murders and the anti Constitutional, illegal measures.
He expressed these views on Wednesday while commenting on the suspicious and mysterious demise of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Aftab Ahmed in the custody of Rangers.
The JI leader said that across the board action should be taken against all criminals and should be brought to full justice, however custodial deaths and extra judicial murders are unacceptable.
He demanded of the authorities to probe into all such suspicious incidents, upon which various circles have raised any question marks. He said that those responsible should be brought to justice and unveiled before the nation.
Engr. Naeem said that earlier some hand cuffed persons were declared as killed during a police encounter. Similarly, he said adding that doubts were also raised on several encounter and arrests, declared in the city, in connection with extremists elements.
He further said that transparency is a must to maintain the credibility of ongoing targeted operation in the metropolis of Karachi. He also demanded of the government to provide affected people with justice.
