JI announces to hold sit-in in Islamabad

PESHAWAR: Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq on Monday announced to stage sit-in in Islamabad on September 8 over what he called government’s attempts to make the institutions fail.

Sirajul Haq, while addressing Dastar Bandi ceremony of 1500 clerics at Markaz-e-Islami Peshawar, accused the government to make accountability institutions fail over corruption and Panama leaks.

The corrupt rulers are a threat to national integrity, we do not need dictatorship and will give the last drop of our blood to protect this country, he added.

JI would go to all lengths to get the country rid of oppression, our seminaries preach peace and .this is the reason why enemy fear them, he added.

Referring to execution of JI Bangladesh leader Mir Qasim, Siraj accused the government of criminal silence over it.
