LAHORE: A local court on Wednesday allowed PML-N MNA Javed Latif’s five-day physical remand to police on charges of inciting people against the state-institutions.
The sessions court heard the case for which Javed Latif was produced amid strict security by police.
Earlier on Tuesday, PML-N MNA Javed Latif was arrested from Lahore’s Sagian bridge.
The PML-N leader was arrested by police from Lahore’s Sagian bridge while he was returning from the court, which dismissed his interim bail.
The sessions court had heard a case filed against Javed Latif on charges of inciting people against the state institutions during which the state counsel prayed for dismissal of his interim bail.
The counsel said that the controversial statement of the accused was tantamount to crossing limits. The CD containing the statement has been sent to forensic laboratory for test. At this stage, the interim bail is not justified, he added.
