LONDON: Australian superstar all-rounder James Faulkner has been charged with drink driving in Manchester.
The all-rounder who was part of Australia’s World Cup winning squad had appeared before the court in Manchester to answer himself after after recording a blood alcohol reading of around twice the legal limit in England.
CA have also charged Faulkner with “conduct that is unbecoming of a representative or official and harmful to the interests of cricket” under their code of conduct, meaning he will also be likely to face a hefty fine from his employers.
It is pertinent to mention here that Australia are on the tour of England to play Ashes series.
