Jamaat-e-Islami’s Sindh Workers’ Convention begins in Karachi

KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami’s Sindh Workers’ Convention has begun here Bagh-e-Jinnah on Saturday.

The two-day event started with recitation from the Holy Quran followed by Dars-e-Quran by Professor Nizamuddin Memon.

A small city has been established temporarily at the Bagh-e-Jinnah with separate resting places for both male and female participants of the convention, a food court and a large number of stalls to display religious books and party’s literature.

A big stage has also been setup at the venue as well as a medical camp.

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq will address to the convention at 7:00 P.M today. Other central and local leaders will also address the ijtima.

JI leaders and workers from all the districts of Sindh including Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Ghotki and Mirpurkhas are attending the convention.
