RAWALPINDI-ISLAMABAD: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan on Sunday organised Azadi Kashmir March started from Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi to Indian Embassy in Islamabad in order to express solidarity with Kashmiris facing brutality and aggression of Indian troops in occupied Kashmir.

The public march was attended by a large number of citizens including youths, senior citizens, women and children while renowned political personalities including JI Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq, Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin, Mian Maqsood Ahmed and others addressed the huge event.

While addressing the Azadi March, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq said Pakistan and Kashmir are incomplete without each other. Kashmiri nation and leadership had announced association with Pakistan before its emergence on the World’s map in 1947 while Kashmiri leadership was proud of becoming Pakistani.

Pakistani nation will not allow to go sacrifices of Burhan Muzaffar Wani and thousands of martyrdoms of Kashmiri elders,women and children into vein, Siraj vowed . He said the nation will always support Kashmiris till last drop of blood. He predicted that Kashmiris and Pakistanis will definitely witness dawn of independence as fruit of sacrifices.

The JI Ameer said Kashmiri nation gave mandate to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Azad Jammu Kashmir election but the premier disappointed the nationals by barricading routes of Azadi Kashmir March through containers. He said the move defined government’s direction in favour of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Siraj said Modi government should extract clear message of Kashmiris who showed their association with Pakistan by waving Green flags in Srinagar.

JI Ameer slammed Indian government over setting new history of barbarism by assassination of one lakh Kashmiris, raping 24,000 women and vanishing 10,000 Kashmiris through 7.5 lakh troops in last 68 years. He said Indian troops fired pellet bullets which severely wounded innocent Kashmiris but they failed to crush struggle of Kashmiri nation. He demanded Pakistani government to raise Kashmir issues in United Nations (UN).

Sirajul Haq said a political jirga of political leadership has been called by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on July 29 in order to envisage strategy on Kashmir dispute. He announced that JI will also hold another Azadi Kashmir March from Lahore to Wagah Border on July 31.

The Senator expressed sorrow over dual role over Kashmir dispute despite the organisation showed extraordinary efficiency in East Timor and South Sudan. He said the organisation showed unserious attitude over implementation of its own resolutions in disputed Kashmir.

Sirajul Haq criticised newly-elected UK Prime Minister Theresa May over condoling murder of Qandeel Baloch but turning a blind eye over genocide of Kashmiris. He said Western powers must have to avoid dual policies and standards.

Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Mian Maqsood Ahmed, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Fazlur Rehman Khalil and Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin have also addressed the public march.
