Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami has carried out more relief work than any other political party during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, a recent survey reveals here.
According to a Geo News report based on a survey by Pulse Consultant, 1,000 people from all the districts of Karachi were asked which political party had done more relief work during the ongoing lockdown in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.
Twenty-seven per cent people replied Jamaat-e-Islami, 26 per cent PTI, 10 per cent PPP, 2 per cent PML- N while one per cent said MQM-P.
Jamaat-e-Islami, Karachi, Ameer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, in his twitter message, said that according to Geo News and Pulse Consultant survey the JI is ahead of all other parties in serving the masses.
This is a success for volunteers of JI and Al Khidmat, he added.
He vowed to continue to serve the people of Karachi.
According to the survey, 49 per cent people favoured soft lockdown, 36 per cent supported strict lockdown while 15 per cent were against the lockdown.
