Jails and corruption cases can’t hinder PPP’s progress: Zardari

LAHORE: PPP Co-chairman and former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that the entire opposition is united on the matter of no-confidence motion.

DUBAI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari said on Thursday that jails, handcuffs and corruption cases cannot hinder the progress of his party.

“Is the anti-terror operation only being done in Karachi?”, asked an angry Zardari.

The former president also contacted fellow party leaders Amin Fahim, Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf after the arrest of party leader Asim Hussain and issuance of arrest warrants of both Gilani and Fahim also asked the PPP to react strongly to the developments.

PPP will hold a press conference over the issue 6 PM today.

Ms Sherry Rehman will address the press and lay before them, the PPP’s viewpoint and concerns.
