LONDON: Legal expert in London Sibghat Ullah Qadri has opined that it is very difficult that London police grant bail to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain this time as the police went to arrest him from his house.

Giving his expert opinion on media over appearance of the MQM chief before London’ police  station in money laundering case, he said that the MQM chief has been arrested technically.

Earlier, the MQM supremo Altaf Hussain has appeared before central London police station in money laundering case after end of his bail.

The MQM sources said that he will again appeal for  extension in bail through his legal team.

The MQM chief  is accompanied by his legal team and senior party leaders including Farooq Sattar and Babar Ghauri. However, the party leaders left the police station after dropping their chief.

Mr Hussain was arrested In June 2014 on suspicion of money-laundering during a raid at his residence in northwest London.

The other six persons who were arrested in the case are also on bail.

On April 1, senior MQM leader Mohammed Anwar was also arrested at his home in north London in connection with the money laundering case. He was released on bail after ten hours of custody.

The MQM denies any involvement in money laundering.
