KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr. Naeem-ur-Rehman has said that establishment of a social system based on Islamic teachings is essential for a corruption free society.
He expressed these views while addressing an Iftar dinner at Korangi Town area. He was of the view that misdeeds were once called sins but now the wrongdoings are appeared in the name of Ramazan transmissions. He urged masses to take appropriate steps so as to keep ourselves and families away from the negative impacts of media.
Talking about the currents situation of affairs in the city, he said that the government has badly failed the dwellers of Karachi. He said that despite massive losses due to heatwaves in recent years, no concrete step has been taken so far by the K electric or the provincial departments.
The JI leader further said that the JI will never put poor citizens on the mercy of cruel elements and will fight the case of people on each and every level.
On the occasion, renowned local political and social personality Shamrez Awan announced to join the JI.
