WASHINGTON: The United States and its allies have targeted Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in last 24 hours by conducting 22 air strikes, the Combined Joint Task Force said in a statement on Thursday.
According to reports, as many as 16 of the strikes were conducted near the Iraqi cities of Baghdadi, Al Huwayjah, Bayji, Fallujah, Ramadi, Sinjar and Tal Afar.
In these strikes the military targeted tactical units, vehicles, fighting positions, buildings and other assets of banned terrorists group.
The strikes were also conducted in Syria, a tunnel system, tactical units, vehicles and fighting positions were struck near Al Hasakah, Dayr Az Zawar and Tal Abyad.
