At least 70 persons were killed in attacks reportedly carried out by Islamic State group in Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, foreign news agency reported on Wednesday.
Mostly Egyptian soldiers among dead besides a large number of civilians in the series of attack by the militants, officials told AFP.
According to report, clashes were still underway with 38 militants involved in the violent attacks while Egyptian air force fighter jets pounded various militant positions.
