Lahore: Alleged corruption and irregularities worth billions of rupees have been revealed in Orange Line Metro project.
According to sources, the preliminary report of the Debt Inquiry Commission has revealed that Rs15 billion was paid to the contractor before the project started.
According to the report, the payment was made against the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PAPRA) rules.
In addition, substandard materials have been used in the construction of the Orange Line Metro instead of the equipment listed in the documents.
