The All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Indian occupied Kashmir has said that the Kashmiris will fight against any proposed tinkering with Article 35-A unitedly and will render every kind of sacrifice to frustrate any legal or political move which might have devastating effects on the Muslim majority character of the territory.
According to Kashmir media service, the APHC leaders and activists held a protest march at Hyderpora Chowk in Srinagar against the onslaught on Article 35-A of the Indian Constitution that guarantees special rights and privileges to the permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir. They raised pro-freedom slogans and demanded right to self-determination.
Addressing on the occasion, the leaders termed the conspiracies to change the demography of Jammu and Kashmir as the worst type of cultural aggression. They reiterated the APHC’s unwavering commitment to foil all the nefarious designs of India.
Those who participated in the protest march included Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Bilal Siddiqi, Molvi Bashir Irfani, Nisar Hussain Rathar, Syed Bashir Andrabi, Khawaja Firdous Wani, Imtiyaz Ahmed Shah, Syed Muhammad Shafi, Imtiyaz Haider, Maqbool Magami, Muhammad Hanief Dar, Haji Qadous, Muhammad Imran, Shakeel Ahmed Butt, Abdul Rasheed Lone, Parvez Ahmed Butt and Nisar Ahmed Khan.
Seeking optimum support of the general public belonging to all walks of life, the APHC leaders expressed satisfaction on the unanimous role displayed on several occasions in the recent past events.
“We salute the solidarity shown by the people to defend their legitimate movement for right to self-determination and hope that the freedom loving people of Jammu and Kashmir shall rise to the occasion to safeguard their exemplary sacrifices,” they said.
