Internet suspended in 21 UP districts, metro closed in Delhi as anti-CAA protests continue in India

LUCKNOW: With the view to prevent protests here on Friday, authorities have suspended Internet services in at least 21 districts of the Uttar Pradesh state.

NEW DELHI:

Police arrested 50 protesters from outside the Uttar Pradesh Bhaven.


The Delhi Municipal Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced to shut the entry and exit doors of the Lok Kalyan Marg Metro station. Metro buses will not be stopping at this station.

Police had used drones cameras for security surveillance here in Saleempura neighbourhood on Friday.

Local administration had posted paramilitary forces and additional police in some areas to prevent protests.

AJMER:

A large protest was held by Muslims against the amended Citizen Act in Ajmer.


The protesters demanded withdrawal of the controversial anti-Muslim law.
