ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan visited the Pakistan High Commission in London on Monday and met the High Commissioner and senior officers.
He visited the offices of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Machine Readable Passport (MRP) at the High Commission and met the applicants to get the feedback from them.
The Minister appreciated the improvements in public dealing and Consular Services, which came about since his last visit to the High Commission a few months ago.
He directed the staff of NADRA and Passport not only to further improve and streamline their working but also go extra mile in being courteous and helpful to their fellow countrymen, a message received here from London said.
The Minister also directed them to guide all applicants in the best possible manner so that their Consular Services requirements and needs are met in the shortest possible time and the documentation is finalized with minimum visits to the High Commission.
The Minister appreciated the proactive interest of the High Commissioner and his senior staff members in reaching out to the Pakistani community and making out efforts to address the problems of the community.
The Minister said that as Pakistanis, the officials owe it to the community to make extra efforts to help, guide and assist them whenever they have a problem.
On this occasion, the Minister also inaugurated the newly established Marquee area for socio-cultural activities at the High Commission.
