Islamabad: The inflation rate has further increased in the country, says a weekly report released by the the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS).
According to the report, the rate of inflation has increased by 0.53 percent in the recent week.
The overall inflation rate reached 7.82 per cent, it added.
Prices of 31 food items increased in one week. In one week, the price of chicken increased by Rs6 per kg and reached Rs213 per kg.
Prices of daal mash, dal masoor and spices also went up this week and ghee prices went up by Rs4 in a week. Prices of seven items also declined this week, with tomatoes falling by Rs4 a kg, onions by Rs1 per kg and eggs by Rs1 a dozen. Pulses prices declined during the week, the report added.
