KARACHI: Sindh High Court has deferred indictment of Inspector General Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and other officials in a contempt case.
The court was expected to indict the IG and other masked personnel for their involvement in besieging the court’s building and torturing Zulfikar Mirza’s supporters and the media persons on May 23.
The hearing of the case was adjourned till December 15.
It is pertinent to mention here that, On May 23, masked and armed policemen had laid a siege around the SHC. The cops had brutally beaten up the guards providing security to Mirza and media persons at the main gate of the SHC building.
