India’s Lok Sabha election phase 3: Votes being cast in 117 seats across 13 states and two UTs

New Delhi: Voting is underway on Tuesday in the third phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. A total of 117 seats across 13 states and two Union Territories have gone to polls.

People are casting votes for all 26 seats in Gujarat and 20 seats in Kerala. Voting is also underway in four seats in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, 14 each in Karnataka and Maharashtra, six in Odisha, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, five in West Bengal, two in Goa, and one each in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Tripura.

Votes are also being held in Tripura East constituency, where polling was deferred from the second phase (April 18) to the third phase fearing law and order problems. Voters in a part of the Anantnag Lok Sabha seat in Jammu and Kashmir are also casting their votes today – here, the election is being held in three phases. Further, some Assembly constituencies in Odisha, Gujarat and Goa have also gone to vote today.
